Ebonyr in the Cosmos

Ebonyr orbits as the third planet of the Astera Solar System, a compact chain of five planets circling the bright yellow star Astera.

Kavah → Phaeton → Ebonyr → Arkanor → Zevon → Adrata

Seen with the naked eye, some believe, Arkanor, is also capable of harboring life due to its greenish blue color.

Between Arkanor and Zevon sprawls the fractured debris of the Shimmering Belt, an ancient asteroid field glittering with dust-light and icy shards. Scholars believe it is the remnant of a shattered protoplanet—its drifting stones catching Astera’s rays like suspended motes of glass.

Astera and its worlds lie within the deep stellar region known as the Mosaic Expanse. Within the Expanse the Asteran system rests along the inner curve of the Shalomar Arm, one of the major spiral branches of the galaxy. Astronomers describe the Shalomar Arm as a cradle of metal-rich stars and stable orbits—an ideal harbor for worlds capable of nurturing life.
